HELP!!! Midi problems!

Post by Songbird2 »

I use Fantom-s together with sonar 6 . I make my drum patterns on the FS and record them to channel 10 even though I use drum tones from ch 11- 16. I want the FASTEST WAY TO GETTING EACH TONE ON A SEPERATE MIDI TRACK in sonar! This problem is slowing down my work

I would play back the track 10 (not channel ten) 6 times.

Each time recording on a different track in sonar and each time with all channels 11-16 muted except unmute a different channel every time you play it through.

So... Play it through with channels 12-16 muted...
then... play it through RECORDING TO A DIFFERENT TRACK with channel 11 and channels 13-16 muted...

then another time on another track with channels 11, 12, 14, 15 and 16 muted...

etc...

regards,

Adam.

ps muting can be performed in the main mixer screen and you can mute multiple channels simultaneously or do it the opposite way and SOLO each of the channels... up to you.

Songbird2,

Do you mind sharing the method you found? It could help other members here.

Did I say say something was wrong with your method. . . . huh??. . . . did I?. . . . . . . . . .
;-p

Just because I was probably thinking it, didn't mean I said it out loud!
;-))

Now come on back out of the freezone and say hello to your friends in the real world. Deep breaths. . . . . you can do it. . . . .
