I haven't heard anyone getting a Fantom-S/X to work with Windows 98. You will need to get a USB MIDI interface (like Edirol UM-1EX) and a USB flash card reader, or upgrade to Windows XP.

Hi lugg, First off, I will assume you are talking about a Fantom X series, since you didn't specify which Fantom you own. When you read the Fantom X manual you will find that it states that Win 98 is only supported in USB MIDI mode. USB storage mode is not supported in Win 98.

Time to trash that 10 year old operating system and move up to something more modern.

When most people go to work they work. When musicians go to work they play. Which do you prefer?
