I've got a Nord Modular (not micro-modular), how different are they? I haven't had time to dig into it much though... tons of patches and tutorials on the net though, it looks incredibly deep and the software is fun to hook up all those modules. :-)

as far as I know it has just one slot as opposed to 4, and a lot less knobs
thats about it

I have the nord modualr but the micro is 99% the same . same sounds . ..

How is it?

well ive worked with synthesis for 15 years and the nord modualr does things nothing else does. Its simply one of the most powerfull seound design tools ive used.It can do Va sounds ok but excells at sfx and complex arps and intricate soundscapes . . . nothing comes close to it for some stuff or can do what it does .Even huge hardware modulars dont have the power or complexity you can achieve. Its doies the most futurisatic stuff i ever heard , can mimik analogue fine but thats not its true potential for me.
