Re: Roland has released Fantom System Program Ver 2.0
Yes! Selecting partials is a small thing but going to be so much nicer now, and will make tone editing and creation so much quicker.
The new multisampling looks pretty comprehensive at first glance though I didn’t see any round-Robin/random sample play option which would have been extra nice. Still nice progress there.
Fingers crossed for per partial/zone arpeggiator and arp sequencer in a coming update, as well as tonewheel and ABM, wavetable etc fun stuff. But looks pretty good so far, could do with less sequencer updates.

Re: Roland has released Fantom System Program Ver 2.0
You can but not efficiently. The issue is that once you start filling up those partials and zones for each drawbar and tieing them to the slider controls you very quickly run out of polyphony, and on top of that anything that uses those sliders seems to be buggy when loading the patch back in.FGM wrote:Cannot you build it using the terrific amount of things we already have....?0kk0p3kk4 wrote:Good news:

A drawbar or tonewheel sim could do it using just a single zone with probably a lot more polyphony and probably a nice UI to switch to control it via the sliders. Without an actual API Roland can just do a better job than us using the Zen-Core system.
Re: Roland has released Fantom System Program Ver 2.0
Enjoy, and when you are done with the clonewheel, let us have a listening, please.

Re: Roland has released Fantom System Program Ver 2.0
yes polyphony is lacking badly in the Fantom I really hope it gets boosted, right now voice stealing is a common occurrence even under a very moderate load.Per wrote:You can but not efficiently. Really nice deep black with wallpaper at 1; red, green and blue [we better care our eyes] at 0, and alpha at 255.

Re: Roland has released Fantom System Program Ver 2.0
I'm really happy with this new update so far! The sampling mode to keyboard is something the Fantom has been missing since launch and it's here and seems very well implemented so far. I did notice one thing that gets me a little hype though. They completely reworked the UI for the MFX sections. They very closely resemble the Zenology style and flow. I can only assume and hope that this means they'll add the model expansions to the Fantom line like they've been cryptically teasing for a couple months now.
Re: Roland has released Fantom System Program Ver 2.0
Again Waveform search missing, I have create no one user tone that utilize samples because the waveform search is impossible, I’ve only modified an existing tone (because here there is a search function) and created VA tone .
Re: Roland has released Fantom System Program Ver 2.0
I think perhaps this might be available anytime before Ver99.0 arrives...Redrain68 wrote:Again Waveform search missing, I have create no one user tone that utilize samples because the waveform search is impossible, I’ve only modified an existing tone (because here there is a search function) and created VA tone .
In the meantime, I can help with a list...being in pdf format the search is really easy.
Waveform listing available from page 62.

Re: Roland has released Fantom System Program Ver 2.0
Thank you mister ...I know very well this PDF file, but I must search waveform by type and name in order to be creative, also this file don’t contain the 15 waveform expansion so the search is very very very limited.FGM wrote:I think perhaps this might be available anytime before Ver99.0 arrives...Redrain68 wrote:Again Waveform search missing, I have create no one user tone that utilize samples because the waveform search is impossible, I’ve only modified an existing tone (because here there is a search function) and created VA tone .

At the actual state I only search for needed tone - modify it . and save as user tone
