No,
If you have seen a Moog or DSI Prophet-08 panel this is exact same quality and materials.

yeah i have a voyager, memorymoog, andromeda and prophet 6, the finish looks more 'pebbly'. thats cool if it is, just hard to tell from the photos..personally i want flat matte black...is that what the finish is or is its more complex? cant tell!

All I know is what Synthgraphics stated in an earlier post is that it has the same exact finish and quality as the Prophet 6 and the Moog Voyager.
I guess we will find out soon?

Another thing is that taking photographs of black surfaces is always challenging. The sensor noise of the camera often becomes visible, and in practice the other things that can show up on the black surface are its reflections and structure. My Andromeda, Prophet 08 and Sub 37 overlays also have some type of diffuse structure. They are not 100 % matte or non-reflective, if you look closely, or in certain type of lighting. Looking at the pictures taken from the prototype overlay, I believe this is the case. Also, in one of the youtube videos of the Juno Kiwi overlay, the guy says that the overlay looks much more shiny on the video due to the lighting he uses on the video than it does in real life. But, we will see soon... I bet it is a nice improvement on the stock shiny fingerprint magnet.

100% true, they are the exact same finish as the Prophet-08, Sub-37, etc. And yes, the light can catch it sometimes in photos - but does not look that shiny in real life at all. Without the textured finish (true matte) you get the exact problem we're trying to fix - fingerprints. I tested several true matte finishes when I first started years ago and the velvet textured finish looks much better when you see them side by side.
