how to export/import sound settings from F-xr to FG

I have a fantom xr module that has some patches that the G doesnt have. Nevertheless the G has the right waveforms. I remember that a while back, I used roland editors and transferred xv-5050 sound settings to fantom xr, cant remember how specifically.
Anyway, there must be a way to transfer the sound settings, right? So that one wouldnt have to build up the whole sound from the beginning?

Hello there.

I wish someone would come up with a program to convert X sounds to G. I've got hundreds of XV and JV sounds I've managed to get onto my X. Before I sold my X6 I took photos of all the parameter pages for all the sounds, yes hundreds and as the G parameter pages are basically the same I've started to re program them into my G by copying the info from the photos. Yes, long winded but I've managed to complete a large number of sounds. I have also managed to complete some JD sounds. I've have since got my self an XR because there are a few waves the G doesn't have and I can't live without them.

Total respect to your work! I searched btw a program that can change a .mid file to .csv and then I will compare if any data is kind of similar in FX init patch and in FG init patch. Seems like a longshot but anyway.

Is there any chance to get sound files from you, project or midi, for example "Wire pad" is one the sounds I am searching for :) ?

Yep no problem.
All my stuff in in dry dock at the moment due to decorating, however once I'm up and running I'll send you all my patches by E mail, just drop me your email number and I'll get them to you as soon as. I'll also hunt out wire pad for you.
