Re: a new count down is started, maybe is it the right time
Whatever it is.. will it make any difference??
I mean.. You either already making music or your not.
and if you just bought a jp80 are you really ready to spend more money on what you dont need?
Lets just wait and see what their trying to make yet another big deal about in 2 weeks.
Its probably v2 of the roland mouse.

I find it fascinating that last time there was a countdown there was a big thread with everyone talking about what was coming. This time - nothing. I think it goes to show that peoples interest and faith in Roland is waning.
Re: a new count down is started, maybe is it the right time
New Fantom? That'd be right as I finally bought mine... LOL. I doubt it somehow though, too big a product not to bring out at NAMM, but I could be wrong...
Re: a new count down is started, maybe is it the right time
MUSIC MOSCOW 2011
Description: International Music Exhibition. Acoustic & Electronic Musical Instruments, Stage Technologies, Studio Technologies, Audio Visual Equipment, Computer Software and Hardware, Sheet Music and Specialist Books...
Now the intriguing part... Sept. 15 - 18, 2011
Maybe Roland is rubbing shoulders with its Asian neighbor to gain access to a larger consumer market for the Roland brand? And they decided to launch their next full blown Workstation [insert here] at Music Moscow?? Russia's economy is driven by petroleum (oil) therefore high oil prices are helping Russia's economy to expand no doubt so perhaps more people have more money to burn??? And Roland is seizing on the opportunity to cash in????
I kind of doubt it, but we'll find out for sure on September 15 eh? ;)
PS: It could also turn out to be very insignificant. Like a new version of that little mini-Red amp or some other frivolous non-event type release. Roland has a habit of producing "much ado about nothing" type product releases on their countdown counters in my opinion. An exception to the rule was the Jupiter-80 of course. Hopefully this latest one will cause some much needed excitement in the now lukewarm Roland community. A new "full blown" Workstation with 256 note polyphony would accomplish that no doubt. :)

Re: a new count down is started, maybe is it the right time
Its a New Drum Machine,called TR-1PE,
It has a fascia similar to the TR808,so everyone thinks its a real TR808 and plays drum sounds sampled from Roland Engineers banging spoons and knives together.....
You can almost hear the Preview video commentary.....
30 years ago.the TR808 rocked the world...Now the TR legend continues...
Its probably the Only Legacy product name they haven't tried to recreate, sorry Rehash
Yawn...
Oh and it comes with an Supernatural expansion For loading your own samples-this for those interested is called,Roland SH-1T

Re: a new count down is started, maybe is it the right time
I think you mean the Roland FullofSh1T....boasts the latest and greatest features that have not been fully tested....and special extra bonus - assortment of bugs, 10 ARX slots and no hope of any new updates.....oh yeah can't wait for this one....
Re: a new count down is started, maybe is it the right time
hope they just release a new OS for the FG. never mind a new hardware workstation.
Re: a new count down is started, maybe is it the right time
I agree Kenchan. The lack of a way to move patches using multisamples is a real shame. I wonder if the Chicken Systems guys every finished that Fantom creator they were talking about. Sounded like it would be a great tool for FG users...
Re: a new count down is started, maybe is it the right time
Yase does the same thing
