i had a go but i didnt really acheive anything :(
also any one know of a cheap alternative to the pg200? got a jx3p and id like to be able to tweak the filters live....

It will all have to be done using using sysex data.
Roland's own PG-1000 was designed just for the D-50/550.

yeh i know about the pg 1000 but its out of my price range hence the bcr, i am currently using a computer based editor but i want a hardware interface.

you dont know wich sysex commands controll whihc parameters of the 50?

it should be written in d-50 manual in midi implementation chapter

Doesn't the Behringer have a "learn" function? If so, you should enable SysEx transmission on the D-50 and send the parameters to the BCR2000.

know of any converters thatll allow me to program a jx3p with midi controller through the programmer socket?

i had a look first of all, n it wasnt there, themanual is pretty thin...

The "Learn" function is described on page 13 of the Behringer manual.

Below is a decent YouTube video. The synth is a JU-1, but the procedures shouldn't be too different for a D-50.

Note that you will need 2 MIDI cables. This is not explained clearly in the video.

D-50 MIDI Out ---> BCR2000 MIDI In
BCR2000 MIDI Out ---> D-50 MIDI In

You should start a new topic for your question concerning the JX-3P and PG-200. That will do a better job at attracting the attention of JX-3P users.
