Looking for THAT sound!!! HELP!!!!

Post by JARROD29B »

HI all. I used to use a Roland JV1010 as a little midi unit and it had a sound that I'm trying to recreate on a FANTOM X8. I cant remember what it was called but it sounded like the backing sound behind the guitar at the beginning of the 1971 Bread classic 'IF'.

This is the only thing I can think of to try and jog someones memory.

I dont have time to source a JV unit as i need the 'sound' for a gig coming up very soon.

I bet this is the most bizarre request of the day.

Any help would be great.

Cheers guys

Was it a preset? And therefore, would looking at the manual's soundlist jog your memory?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I did try that but there is not really a display screen on the 1010 so a name was never registered in my memory.
The sound was an electric piano with a sort of BAH-WAH-WAH sound on it.

I suppose i'll keep looking.

Thanks again

Psychedelic EP? Not sure what's the name, but it definitely had "Psychedelic" or"Psycho" in it.

PsychoRhodes from the XV-5080 sounds?
Check out patch 0023 in file XV-58-B01.SVQ on this thread.

Search for "Bank 01 (000-064)" without the ""s

Andy (really should be working)
