Old samples/patches load trick needed

Post by The_Magus »

Hello, i'm looking for an old tip/trick post here
for F-x, in which it were explained how to hold
lot of samples at once on the CF card, and having
the fantom to load just the nedeed ones for actual patches / .svd file
(i can remember that required a little hack with the files)
but it seems i'm unable to find it.
Any help will be appreciated

thanks

Hi Magus,

Sorry your post got missed.

I think it was Quinnx who came up with the idea you mean.

Basically you create folders on your Memory card called Project 01, Project 02 etc, and copy the standard (empty) folders into them. Then, on your PC or Mac you rename the project you want to work on to ROLAND and put it at the top of the card folder structure.

Quinnx did a little batch file that created 30 or so of these Project files, but I don't know where it is anymore. Try searching for "PROJECT" by user Quinnx and see what turns up. Or perhaps he's reading this?

Hope this helps a bit.

Here you go. Someone was asking about this recently. Here is the URL for File Optimization :

There are some posts (although I don't know the links). But the above link will get set for what you asking.

That page has the instructions, but the "MkProject v 2.zip" file is missing. I'll see if I can find it on my old desktop & re-post it here.

Give me a day or two.
