double notes on drum parts?

Post by noteone »

I am recording midi into CubaseSX with the Fantom S88.
I am having a problem with recording drum notes
into Cubase. I am getting double noted recorded.
Is there a switch In the FantomS that I need to turn
off? I am using the keyboard to record the drum parts.

I do have the local turned off.

Thanks

Try turning off "Midi-Thru" (on the Fantom). I just got my X6 and I am not familiar with changing the set up (me thinks it might be similar) , but I had a problem once with another keyboard and this solved the problem.

I think that will help you. Good Luck

not to derail your question but it made me wonder can the fantom find duplicate notes (like if you played them sloppily and/or if quantize stacked them on top of each other) and delete them? THinking of logic's transform function which does this.
