Hi
Could someone with a Jupiter-Xm provide me with a "backup" file from the synth? It can be exported from the synth to a USB stick. I want to look at the file format and see whether it resembles the Jupiter-80.
I'm assuming the sound structure is quite different, but the overall file structure could be similar, since the developers are likely to reuse existing code rather than start from scratch. If so, it might be possible to build a general tool for recent Roland synths.
Thanks!
File format (Jupiter-Xm)
Re: File format (Jupiter-Xm)
I've done a little comparison if the waveform list and, very strange, some of the 450 wavwform of the supernatural synth tone is missing in the Xm
Re: File format (Jupiter-Xm)
the XV structure synth is based on 4 tone not 3 like Supernatural, and more, in the Xm are present the emulation of analog roland synth that are not compatible with the Jupiter 80 at all, so they condivide only the Roland brand...
give me some time and I upload here a backup
