Supernatural Piano.

Post by Mike. »

I have installed the new update that includes Supernatural piano. However, I am a little disappointed that I appear not to be able to make any adjustments to the sound, as I was able to on my old RD700NX. For example I cannot make the sound alter by "raising and lowering the piano lid'
Have I missed something, or is it because all we get is the basic supernatural sound?

We have good control over the V-Piano parameters, but not apparently over the supernatural sounds!

Any ideas?

Yeah, they Only have currently one parameter to be adjusted, thus being very different from many other devices that have sn-pianos.

Without those, they feel to me quite useless.
Luckily vPiano delivers for me So not that much need in any case.

Hopefully other parameters are added in the future.

Yep, thanks for that quick reply. I quite agree with your comments. The Fantom Supernatural Piano is very poor in comparison to a). V-Piano on the Fantom, and b). on my RD-700.
It is obviously personal choice, but I used to gig my RD-700 (Jazz Trio) for some years, and was very pleased with the quality of the sound. The V-Piano beats it, though!!....
Cheers.

Hi! Also SN electric pianos are very limited when you compare these tones with ARX-02 SN E-Pianos on Fantom G.
BTW when you upgrade and install SN Pianos on new Fantom, dont forget to import the scenes included with the upgrade :-)

One of my disappointments as well. I also had an RD700NX and the default concert grand was my favorite piano sound even without adjustments. The SN-APs don't seem to include that sound at all. Luckily I was able to tweak one of the v-pianos to sound satisfactory - hopefully they add extra parameters to the SN pianos.

On the RD 2000, the supernatural piano’s with their huge range of virtual settings are as usefull as the V_piano sounds..
