Great idea but what's really needed is a import/export scene function just like tone has now.

There is no way to include other parameters like keyboard zones, arps, etc.

I really agree. What I see is that Roland hear us. It's a minor change that can be easily implemented.
For sure they have a full backlog of feature to implements and each feature has a priority (bug fixing first...)

They already provided V1.10, V1.11 and on late January (sorry, do you know what day is today :-) ) the V1.50. 3 versions in 4-5 months. I guess they will apply the Korg philosophy where a great hardware will be renewed easily with a new O.S. version.

I'm moving from VST and an amazing Roland A-90 EX (19 yo still in mint condition) to my first workstation (or second if you consider the Roland W30 I had in the late 80s). I'm really satisfied and I can't wait the official release of the V1.50 O.S.

I bought the Fantom 8 a couple of weeks ago and it's still at V1.04 (make no sense to update it right now).

I started this thread because some people more expert than me can share some nice combination.
I did myself an E. Piano (like) sound that I like

Z1: D1085 L100
Z2: B0229 L053
Z3: D1089 L091

But I will look forward for better combinations

I am told that Roland has scene export/import 'on their radar'.

I agree that importing/exporting Scenes will be critical to really sharing our sounds.

I've been spending a few hours per week setting up Scenes on my Fantom that correspond to ones on my FA. The settings in the scenes (EQ, Offsets, and IFX/MFX) are crucial to the design.

I've found out that some of the "Chorus" effects in the FA can only be done in the IFX of the Fantom and not in its "Chorus" area. This is fine, and I'm thankful for the option, but it takes time to set these things up.

There are pros/cons of the Tone approach that Roland uses. A lot of the tones by themselves are not that create till put in a well-designed Scene. On a Korg, in contrast, you can put tons of effects/etc. on an individual Program and they sound really good. The trade-off, then, is the time it takes to juggle effects when putting several good Programs into a Combi.
