Yoooo...I love this board, but here are a few things that would put this thing OVER THE TOP!

Roland I hope you see this...

- Transferring user samples to memory take foooorevooooor and seem to bog down the cpu since it slows a bit to locate and present every single file in a folder. I think Bulk sample loader would be nice whether that be a custom SVD or EXZ (Prolly never since this is their bread and butter profit wise. A guy can hope right?)

- Drum kit builder - like a intuitive way to assemble layered drum samples/sounds.
(I think there is a glitch or something but when I start to make kit, if I press the wrong button it becomes a program/patch and not a drum kit.)

- Time-stretch/pitch shift. This would help with matching samples to oscillator for new and unique textures (ala V-synth)

- Audio routing when connected to computer
individual pad/drum routing to outputs

- Class Compliant Audio even for only 2 channels (we all know driver support fades and eventually the board no is longer compatible with computer.

- Audio bounce of parts built in the keyboard for the same reason above.

Also, pie in the sky, but I wish there was a way to upgrade that pads. Why was it decided to go from pressure sensitive to rubber launch buttons?

Oh one last thing...a Question..

What was wrong with the sequencer of Fantom X-G? I mean I think clip launch grid ala Ableton Live is cool and I see why it is one the Fantom platform since popular music uses that daw quite a bit (me included), but it does not function like it Live. I think it would have been better as an addition as opposed to primary sequencer.

My thought is that most people of the pop genre (of which I think this board was designed for) have computers anyway as it is the preferred method for production. Cheap/Mobile/small footprint. I would think a $3500 keyboard would not be part of most artist budget. It would have made more sense to appeal to the core consumers who enjoyed the legacy products and were invested in to the brand of products that they offer. My apologies if this has turned in to a small rant, but I just think they should have went "Core" then "Explore"

Just my thoughts what does the Clan think?

It doesn’t look like there will be a Jan update at this point but I would really like to see access to the x and y position on the xy “motional” pad for the mod matrix.

Well, Roland might be listening...but not this time.
