Hi, everybody. I don,t know how i did It, but the metrónome light is always on and marking the tempo even when the metrónome sound is off and is very annoying. Obviously, I want deactivate the light when metronome is off.
I,ve looked for at system menú but i didnt find the option. Thanks for your help.
Click light
Re: Click light
Not sure I understood you correctly but the Tempo button is always flashing unless the Fantom is in slave mode for sync and the external clock source (sequencer) transport is stopped.
Re: Click light
Thanks. I,ve supposed that something was wrong.
Re: Click light
MENU>
SYSTEM>
GENERAL>
LED Brightness> OFF-1-2-3-4-5-MAX.
OFF will bring darkness to the whole Fantom, including the TEMPO light.
Great time to relax the eyes, no strain on them.
Blinking lights are a nightmare.
And blinking is often there, even when the light is thought to be steady.
When buying light bulbs take your smartphone and point the camera toward them and see if they blink. If they are of the type that can be regulated, bring them from the lower to the higher setting and see how the blinking, if any, develops.
Do the same at home.
Any blinking gives headaches and strains the eyes without nearly nobody knowing the origing is just their own lighting.
Seen through your eyes....a beautiful, expensive modern lamp:
But when seen through a camera, the blinking is revealed and I think it is a lamp that should be forbidden by the regulations:
Screens are also to be used with caution if Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) is used to achieve a given brightness.
They do it FALSELY by switching on and off at a given pace of time the maximum available brightness, giving the user the appearance of having achieved a comfortable steady brilliance while in fact is nothing but just a blinking mid point attained by time at FULL brightness (say 70%) and time at OFF (say 30%).

Re: Click light
I have stuck a small rectangular piece of black tape over the tempo button. Just enough light leaks out the sides to still be able to recognize the tempo. Now, Tone Wheel organ is a whole other thing. My gawd, who at Roland thought up that fireworks display? Unfortunately my little rectangular piece of tape idea has met it's match.
Re: Click light
I know for sure you 3D printed it since buying the tape at the shop would have been too easy a thing and most probably would have also lacked the appropriate transparency.PaulGreen wrote: ↑16:16, 9 February 2022 I have stuck a small rectangular piece of black tape over the tempo button. Re: Click light
Hi, someone happen to know if tempo flashing is still like this?
Method A) MENU>SYSTEM>GENERAL>LED Brightness> OFF ---> All LEDs will be dark (including e.g. MENU and ZONE VIEW)
Method B) Set it to slave mode ---> Tempo won't flash when there is no clock signal.
With method B, doesn't this change other things? Like... how does the Fantom know how fast to play patterns or something, when it waits for the clock signal but there is none?
Best regards
