Missing menu
Missing menu
I have updated to 2.0 firmware and have been trying to set up a rotary speaker effect on an organ. I have been trying to follow Ed Diaz's instructions on YouTube but when I bring up the Effects Parameters menu to change the MFX, there is no menu in the left column. It is blank. Has something changed? The left hand menu is there for all the other functions. I have tried a factory reset but still no left menu.
Re: Missing menu
Zone 1 selected.
A piano is there.
Press ORGAN and 0309:Lord Organ 1 appears.
Press PARAM key under EFFECTS and a window saying MFX shows 07:Enhancer.
Rotating the jog wheel counterclockwise the end is reached showing 00: Thru.
Rotating it clockwise I get to the end that shows 90:Script 100.
Pressing ENTER key, next to SHIFT and EXIT, a window appears with MFX Type at the top and a listing of effects.
Effect 21 is Rotary.
Effect 21 is VK Rotary.
Below the effect, once selected, lots of parameters are ready to be adjusted...
Speed, separation, tweeter speeds, woofer speeds...
If a go now via MENU, EFFECTS EDIT, a terrific amount of graphics are shown.
On the left says ZONE 1. Below it, MFX, EQ and EDIT.
Pressing EDIT I go to MFX and EDIT, 21:Rotary...and EQ other settings.
Pressing EDIT next to MFX I reach the same window than before for the Rotary parameters...
Is that of any help, dobrojoe ?

Re: Missing menu
Sorry, no. I have no problem changing the rotary speaker parameter. I need to set the control source to CC30 so I can assign it to a footswitch but that menu and MFX Control button is no longer there.FGM wrote:Zone 1 selected.

Re: Missing menu
The MFX Control button is not available on my Fantom 7. The entire menu is missing!
Re: Missing menu
So now you have a very plain Steinway & Sons.... Check if the upper side of the white keys are 71.5 cm from the ground.
Re: Missing menu
I used to play a Steinway Grand fifty years go but never through a Leslie speaker.
Re: Missing menu
Is It true that those made in Europe (Hamburg) sound better than the ones made in USA (NY) ?
And having played such a beauty you went for 76 keys...? Whyyyyy?
Your menu is walking along those 12 keys !!!!

Re: Missing menu
SOLVED! I was in Zone View and not Zone Edit. The Roland tutorial didn't mention going into Menu and choosing Tone Edit, it goes straight from Tone View to the Parameter screen!!!
Re: Missing menu
This means you did not follow any of my two advices....before announcing the menu had went missing ?
Funny...
Funny...
Re: Missing menu
Thank you for trying to help me FMG but this old organ grinder gets easily confused.
