Hello, I am considering buying the rd-88. I have a newbie question. Am I able to import my own sound tones? or is roland limiting it to their own sound tones from Roland sound cloud? I think they are called the SVZ files. How is it different from what Nord does?(nord importing sounds)
also I read that Drum-kit sounds cannot be imported. What makes it non-importable, what if I have a wave file that has a drum sound recorded?
thanks anyone for helping me out

Re: Roland RD-88 importing sounds question
It is not a sampler, so current software does not allow importing custom sounds.
But, there are 12 expansion packs of additional sounds, including PCM samples, that you can import, plus an ever increasing selection of tones available for your 128 user tones area, at https://www.rolandcloud.com.
You cannot import or change drum sounds.
