Dumb question, but I can't find the answer in the manual
Dumb question, but I can't find the answer in the manual
Is it possible to set mod wheel 1 to the level of the phaser? Sometimes I want the phaser on the EP, and sometimes I don't.
Re: Dumb question, but I can't find the answer in the manual
Hi.
Try setting the mod wheel to control change CC95 and see if it changes the phaser settings. According to the midi implementation manual it should. It transmits and receives this cc number.
Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion, Stuart; it didn't make any change, however.

Hi,
If you go to program edit, what assign options do you have for mod wheels?

Hi Stuart.
The proposal that you submit to "gplawhorn" was the one I thought for "CC95 phaser", I did some tests and I realized that it did not work.
In fact the questions I had previously posted for "cc91 / 92/93/94/95" were related to the issue of "gplawhorn".
The solution for him would be to create a program "EP with phaser effect modulation" and control it with the modulation button off / on.
If someone has another solution?
In answer to your question on the use of synths, it's great everything works well, I have fun.
have a good day .
Gus.

Re: Dumb question, but I can't find the answer in the manual
I think Gus is right; the only option for the phaser is on/off. What I was hoping for was the ability to adjust the level of the phase effect - the blend between wet and dry.

Did you guys tried assigning to a function pedal?
I though you can assign everything in all the RD 2000 controllers, the mod wheel, pedals, etc.
I'll try to figure out if there's another way too.
I'll get back to you if I find something...

Re: Dumb question, but I can't find the answer in the manual
Some of the phaser effects don't have the control needed. Sounds like what you want to control is wet vs dry mix. The level setting is master gain for the channel, if you turn level to zero, you get no sound, not dry sound.
Phaser 1 (18), Step Phaser (19), Multi-Stage (20) and Infinite (21) do have a mix control that can be assigned.
For these, the default setting is for wet/dry mix to be on the mod/fx rate knob. You can route this to the mod wheel if desired.
The mod wheel can control the function assigned to the depth or rate control.
1. In tone designer, mod/fx, change either depth or rate knob assignment to be mix
2. In assign / mod wheel, change the function to be mod / fx depth or rate (match the one selected above)
But, the effect on/off button (for all phasers), and the mix control (phasers above) are already pre-programed when zone effects is active.

That is exactly what I was looking for - thanks!DesertBoat wrote:Some of the phaser effects don't have the control needed. Sounds like what you want to control is wet vs dry mix. The level setting is master gain for the channel, if you turn level to zero, you get no sound, not dry sound.
