Hi there
I missed the 2.0 (and 2.10) thing and I am quite enthusiastic about it since using my own multisamples has been a bit of a hassle when you could only set them up in perform mode.
Does anybody know if it's possible to mix banks from the different libraries on Axial now that Tone Manager and version 2.10 allows you to do use your own samples in a patch.
And also how much internal RAM is there in a DS88.
All the best

Juno DS, Tone Manager and Axial
Re: Juno DS, Tone Manager and Axial
as far as I know, you can mix PATCHES, but the underlying SAMPLES that come with the Expansions haven't changed - you can only have one set of Expansion Samples (usually linked to an Axial EXP download.) But in USER Samples, you can create your own Multisamples, as you said. So yes, you can load different Patches from different Axial downloads, but, no, they'll have the 'wrong' samples linked in their programming, if they're from different Axial EXP downloads. (but might sound cool that way!)

You can still only load one axial EXP, but with some effort, you could sample some of your favorite sounds from others and load them into your own sample library. A program like Sample Robot or Extreme Sample Converter or the autosampler in Mainstage could help. It takes some skill to do this and get good results, though. Some sounds will be easier to capture than others. Hint: Turn off any effects before you sample, and then add those effects back from within the program that you create from the samples.
