Is there a COMPARE Function on the DS?

Post by TommyMan7 »

After you've edited and tweaked a sound, on a Prophet or a Yamaha, and you're about to Save it with WRITE, there's often a button press you can do before pulling the trigger, so that you can COMPARE it to the unedited sound that you'll be writing over.

Does the Juno DS have such a COMPARE function? I can't find it in either Manual.
Thanks.

Wish it did; don't think it does!

Thanks for the reply, Aaron. Appreciated. I guess I'll try to keep one open INIT Patch so I can Save the edit to that location, and then A <-> B the two.

Yes, and Korgs have it too. My previous Rolands had it (the D10 and D50 for example), so I sort of took it for granted when I bought my Juno-DS, and was disappointed to find this feature missing.

Increasingly it seems to me, that keyboards are designed by the marketing departments rather than by musicians!
