A few patches/performances...

Post by Radon_22 »

I had promised someone a while back that I would upload an upright piano I had created. For the heck of it: I added 6 more patches and 3 performances for your sonic pleasure. Some are modifications of stock patches: others are rebuilt from the ground up.

1) The Edge2 - Best played around +1 range or so. Modified from tcplugin's original patch.

2) Mountn Rain - All-purpose, lightly distorted guitar. Whammy bar on aftertouch.

3) Uprt Piano 1 - That old, out-of-tune upright that you love to hate. A squeaky pedal will be in version 2.

4) Black Hole - Industrial/ Goth Rock guitar. Amount of distortion is based on velocity. Try it with octave slams or soft rolled cords.

5) Deaf Leper - Think "Stairway to Heaven" or "Dream On" (Aerosmith)

6) Moon Runners - Redneck fun! An update to an old XV patch.

And the performances:

1) Phase D+ - A modification of the original Phase D - Hit G2 and jam!

2) Jazz Club 38 - Dark Piano, Upright Bass. Try switching part #3 for #2.

3) Walkin Jazz - Blues/Jazz guitar/bass combo.

Enjoy!

I welcome any feedback I can get on tweaking the piano... Anyone? =)

...I just download it and will test it this night at home!
Damn time is running fast like a turtle :-/
7 hours left till knocking-off time

But seriously:
I really happy to see somebody sharing his patches! Great. Its good for everybody...:
Randon you get hopefully a constructive feedback,
the "lamer" (=me) got new sounds and in best case I learn something about creating patches or get new ideas and (last but not least)
ROLAND gets a big benefit, because everybody sees that the fantomX got a good community. And if you had the choice of a "A+" product with NO community and a "B" product with a great community ... which sould you buy? ;-)

"B" product with a great community, because that community can turn it into an "A" product, probably even "A+", heh heh

Radon, thx for the patches. I'm downloading the industrial stuff as I type this. IMO a lot of guitar patches sound fun and are fun to play with live, but are lacking when it comes time to create really useful "real" distorted guitar lines. Hopefuly your patch is closer to being real =)

As I get into programming my Xa more, I will also offer up my creations to the community. That's what it's here for, right?
