I've just been going through the SRX-12 card Rhodes variations and for each velocity layer there are 7 different variations, A B and C and then 1,2,3,4.
Anyone know how Roland have managed to realise these different variations?
On my first listens it seems like maybe they've used slightly different loop points on some to emphasise the attack or focus on a smoother decay.
Also, some sound like they have different phases which could be a way of getting different tonalities.
It would be interesting to find out how they've interpreted the original sample data to get these different variations, anyone got any ideas on how they think it's done?

Understanding SRX wave variations
Re: Understanding SRX wave variations
Those variations are designed for FX keyboard with updated O.S. It will give you seperate "plug-in" like screen where you can adjust tine velocity, condition of EP etc..
On FXR, you can still use those patches but you won't get that seperate screen. It said to be that those patches does not exist on RD700/SX. Its O.S won't support them.

Re: Understanding SRX wave variations
Hi dkpcola, I was listening to the individual samples and it seems that for the ABC variations they are shifting the samples up or down a semitone. I was checking it out the other night so I can't remember exactly what was going on but i'll try listening again and posting with the results.
