I'm interested in purchasing the Fantom X Library that primarily use the internal Wave ROM... I know you mentioned one, but it also contains some samples... My question is: Does any of the Patches require the samples or they are basically just bonus material?
Thx
Hey Artemio: Question About Your Sound Library
Re: Hey Artemio: Question About Your Sound Library
Hey there and thanks for the interest! There are two libraries available, Planet V and Planet F. The first one, Planet V, includes materials made with Roland V-Synth and requires the samples it comes with, as it is solely based on them. But Planet F is completely based on the Fantom's ROM, mostly on the synth waves, and the included samples are like bonus material that you can load where you want and the way you want. Planet F currently includes 160 patches and in a few weeks it will be updated with 20 more sounds at least (and all updates are free to all users).

Ahh, that was it, Planet F... Cool, I'll order in a couple of days...

Re: Hey Artemio: Question About Your Sound Library
so planet v is v synth patches u made for the fantom??? also how can i have it so that fantom loads up with all these sounds when i turn it on..as opposed to loading them from the card i plan to purchase for it??? would i need to increase the memory or what??
Re: Hey Artemio: Question About Your Sound Library
"so planet v is v synth patches u made for the fantom?"
I made various sounds with the V-Synth, then resampled them, and created mulltisamples, one-shot sounds and loops for the Fantom-S/X and then created patches and rhythm kits so you can use the sounds right away. These are NOT V-Synth presets, all sounds were made by me. This library makes your Fantom sound like a different synth, which is really great.
"also how can i have it so that fantom loads up with all these sounds when i turn it on?"
You need a memory card (64 MB at least) and DIMM memory (64 MB at least) for Planet V. Then you can set your Fantom to load it at power on, it takes just about 2 minutes.
