srx-05

Post by wim »

im about to purchase the srx-05 supreme dance card. there is a slight problem. i dont know how the drum kits sound. i went to the roland site to listen to the demos. the prob is they dont have a demo of the drum kits and i really dont like the demos but they are often crap so i would like to hear somebodies opinion about the srx-05. is it a usefull card for rhythym kits.

What's up!

Hey Wim, I have the SRX 05(Supreme Dance) card up for sale for $190.00, in the Buy, Sell or Trade section of this board! The card is ok to me, but I don't think it is something that I will use on the regular! The Rythm section has some nice kits in it, but I have already transfered those drum hits, snares and hihats to my MPC! It is yours if you want it, it is in "Mint" condition, with everything that came with it,even the invoice, I only had this card for a month.

Peace!

I can honestly tell you that it is worth the money, because you get so much mort than just the Rhythm set, you get a s**t load of other sounds as well! I just couldn't use it for what I needed!

wim, I have got the 'Supreme Dance'. The Kits are great, as a matter of fact the Kits are the main reason why I've got the board, apart from a few Pads and some SFX. 'Supreme Dance' has got the best TR samples available in zero-loaqding format.

hey jost!
thx for the answer. i have another question. do you know the platinum trax card srx-08. these are the two (srx-08 and srx-05) i want to choose from.
i only want to use the card for making rhythm parts. the leads etc dont care. its nice if they are good but thats not the main intention for buying the card. platinum trax has less drum kits but what is the main difference between the two and what would you recommend. did you have the same problem in choosing between the two.

I wouldn't buy the SRX05 for the drums.. They lack.. Umm.. Character!!

The drums in the Fantom itself are much better so judge by that.

Leads are nice though.
