What SRX Cards are you wishing ...

... that Roland would make?

My personal wish list includes:

1) "Organism" ... nothing but organs. A good representaion of Hammonds (of course), but also Farfisa, Vox, etc.

2) "Synth World" ... sortof a SRX version of IK's "Sonik Synth" with special care taken to recreate classic synth sounds of the past ala Genesis, Emerson, Wakeman, Gary Wright, Toto, Styx, The Who, etc. This card should also contain a definitive "library" of waveforms useful for "rolling your own".

3) "The definitive EP Collection" ... no, I don't think it's too much to ask for meticulously crafted multisampled Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Hohner Pianet T, D6 Clavinet and Yamaha CP series electric pianos!

1) "VA" - Virtual Analog SRX, a SRX that would convince me to sell my Access Virus and my Novation so that I can concentrate on one keyboard only insetad of trying to bond with a whole Synth Rig.

2) dansgold "The definitive EP Collection" - Being an absolute lover of the SRX 04 "Ultimate Keys" I would love to see a SRX totally devoted to Rhodes.

3) "Lush Pads & Vocal" - Tibetan Buddhist Monks growling and chanting... opera singers hitting high C... Viennna Boys Choir and italian castratos... the Three Tenors going off... Spectrasonics Atmosphere ambient patches...

loaded with the synth sounds from heavey metal staples like Mr. Crowley,(I can't think of many songs with synth sounds) Panama, Jump, Iron Maiden songs

I would like to see: (I have Fantom-S w/SRX02&07)

SRX - Fantom X piano (a must to support and save some face with us 'S' owners)

SRX - Organ B3 (ultimate keys is OK, but doesn't compare with V Combo or even the Korg Triton.

SRX - Vintage Rhodes, EP's (again SRX07 is OK, but they need to catch up to Motif ES and Nord Electro for EP's)

I'd buy all 3!

No offense, but you wouldn't need a 64MB set of SRX samples to create the patches of metal rock. All you would need is someone to program the patches using the base rom, or even better the SRX07.

I've got an exact (or very convincing) 'Jump', 'I'll Wait', 'Midnight Blue', 'ABACAB', 'Runaway' , etc on my Fantom-S using the only base rom.

Be nice, if I knew how ot spell Heavy. But that would also include all the sounds you hear from Dio, Purple, Maiden, and all the bands no one wants to admit to loving, Europe(the Final Countdown) and all those other hairmetal sounds.

NuMetal would include RobZombie, WhiteZombie, NIN, etc...
You don't like LinkinParK!!????

Many of the above ideas are great, however, I also wish Roland would issue new patches to download. As many of us know, the samples in the Fantom X and on the current SRX expansions are terrific! There is a ton of room for better programming of patches, however. New patches for SRX and Fantom would be great. Even from a 3rd party would be O.K. I know that Pro-Rec has some, but not of the variety most of us seem to desire.

Hey zacko, I don't agree with you on Motif ES EPs being better than "Utltimate Keys". I had the Motif ES and I have got the SRX 07 "Ultimate Keys" - and I prefer the SRX 07 over the EP sounds of the Yammy. The Motif is too clean and too 'nice' - not good for a dirty, deep, dark, soul-trenched Rhodes presence in your mix. I reckon the SRX 07 gives the Fantom the edge over all other keyboards.

can i put my vote in for an accapella card with lots of construction parts to make lines (ala voices of the apocalypse), including lots of arabic female vocals and russian/ukranian male choirs
