The SRX-07 Ultimate Keys has a vast set of Mellotron multisamples - choirs, strings, etc. and they sound sunning, just like the original.

I used to have the SR-JV80 Vintage Synth board in my XP-50, which is now part of the SRX-07 card. The mellotron samples were excellent on there. Now I'm using GMedia's M-Tron software, which seems pretty well-respected amongst Mellotron aficianados for its authenticity. I've got to say, the choir and strings from that old Vintage Synth board are really darn close to what's offered with M-Tron -- though perhaps a little "cleaner" (M-Tron's samples are authentic down to the tuning and tape flutter!). It you limit the sustain to no more than 8-seconds, you'd be well on your way to a convincing mellotron with the SRX-07.

If you're into Mellotrons, Chamberlins, etc., you really should check out this new sample set called "Squid's Tron Collection v. 1" put out by Sonic Reality. It's similar to M-Tron, but includes a number of extremely unique samples above and beyond what you can get from M-Tron. It's part of a group buy put on by SR over at kvr-vst.com. The samples are fantastic and varied, including looped and unlooped (for Tron purists). But, the best part is that you get the SampleTank 2LE engine along with the samples, which lets you really mangle the sounds. Highly recommended.

Oh, I should also note that it will be sold only through October 15th and will then be discontinued, as it is a one-time collection.
Cheers,

Hi.
As TagPass said the Mellotron samples in the SR-JV80 expansion were very good, (much better than the ones in the "Vintage Archives" expansion ROM for the Triton). You only had flutes, choirs and strings, so I missed the brasses a lot!.
The only drawback I found is that sample loops were VERY noticeable: you had to add tons of reverb to hide them.
I had the SR-JV80 in my old JV80. Now I use library samples for these sounds, and of course, they are far better (though in exchange of loading time).
Greetings
Jordi
