ROLAND BOUTIQUE JP-08 "MIDI EDITOR " VST - PC + Mac

Post by momo30163 »

Hi,
here is my second Roland Boutique Midi Editor. The Remote for the Synthesizer Roland BoutiqueJP-08.
It is possible as VST and Standalone for PC 32/64 Bit and Mac as VST, AU and Standalone.
The „JP-08“ parameters can be automated, they can be stored in your Project.
With the X-Y-Pad any controller can be selected and controlled.
You can select the sound off the JP-08 (Patch Number 11-88 and Patch Presets ).
The hidden parameter "Portamento", „Delay" and "Hold", can be changed on the "JP-08 Midi Edtior",
which are not present on the JP-08 surface.

Price: 5,90€

Greeting, Momo

How do you edit the gate time without the dual button shortcut with the C2 controller?

Thanks for creating this! I have a few issues with it though.

1. the VCF env selector switch is missing
2. the setup instructions did not work for me. I had to set the controller device instead of the input device to enable it to work.
3. maybe related to 2, but I find it really laggy. Pressing a note will have a noticeable delay (1/4 second) and moving sliders is laggy.

Did you forget the ENV1/ENV2 switch for the filter ? Strange...

Hi momo

thanks for creating this plug-in editor!

i have the jp-08 talking to it in stand alone and the faders are moving but my novation remote sl mk1 doesn't seem to be sending midi to it through usb.

do i have to use midi cables?

also, in logic x i can't seem to get any sound out of it. any help would be appreciated. thanks !

*edit: i have the template editor on one track and the external instrument on the other. i can use the template editor while playing the jp-08 on the external instrument track and it works.

to edit the jp-08 I can use my midi template i created on the novation using midi cc#s but i can't seem to use the editor as a normal wrapped automap au. all the parameters come up as undefined_##.

hm - it is not really working good at the moment - at least here for me. I tested the standalone version, and sometimes it communicates with my JP08, sometimes not, sometimes it sends strange values and acts a bit randomly. Some parameters like delay are not functional at all.
It needs some rework IMHO, the breadandbutter (web) editor is much more stable and reliable.
