Good to hear about this new version- unfortunately as a Mac user I'm unable to take advantage of it as Wine currently isn't playing ball.

Your commitment to maintaining and improving this program is really admirable, I have to say. Having taken inspiration from this project to create my own JD-Xi MIDI Controller, I well appreciate how annoying the spec can be to work with.

Thanks again dude, I hope 2025 treats you and your projects well.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with the JDXi Manager under Wine, does it not start at all or what kind of problems are you experiencing?
Have you tried starting it from a terminal with "wine JDXi_Manager.exe" to see what errors appear?
Unfortunately I can't really help much with that as I don't have a Mac but maybe if you provide more details about what doesn't work then some other Mac user might suggest something that could solve the problem.

I have actually found a fairly recently released Perl library that theoretically could allow me to adapt the JDXi Manager to macOS but I still would need a Mac to write and test the code for macOS. Maybe at some point I find the time and inspiration to build a Hackintosh but don't hold your breath...
The library is this one:
https://metacpan.org/dist/MIDI-RtMidi-FFI
https://github.com/jbarrett/MIDI-RtMidi-FFI
It provides access to MIDI input and output also on macOS.

That looks like a very interesting project, but unfortunately not suited for me as I'm not good at soldering so I wouldn't be able to build that.

Thanks, same for you.
