So - I am thinking of getting back into Roland territory again.
I have had a Roland D-50 and MKS70.
What is Roland's best synth today that could provide me the D-50 and more?
Sorry, if It am not posting it in the best place. I thought the JD-XA may be the answer.
And yes, I would like a keyboard with it!
Best synth?

Re: Best syn
If you liked the mix of digital and DSP synthesis in the D-50 and the analog of the MKS70, you’re probably on the right track. You should check out as many videos as you can and try to find a store that has one so you can try it out first.deswind wrote:So - I am thinking of getting back into Roland territory again.

The other current Roland flagship is the System-8, which is my personal favorite, but it is purely virtual analog. It doesn’t do any of the digital synthesis in the D-50, and it doesn’t have real analog oscillators like the JD-XA. If you like the idea of having a Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-3P, and a modern virtual analog synth all in one box, you should check it out.

Re: Best synth?
Put a tiny, inexpensive Roland D-05 on whatever other synth you get, and you'll have your D50 sounds.
Re: Best synth?
Does this D-05 have all the D-50 sounds from all their cards? If so, this sounds like a great idea. Maybe it has a better audio engine as well?
Re: Best synth?
Thank you. I ordered one today. Does not mean I will not buy another Roland! :)
