Part routing to effects

Post by valsolo »

Hi all,
I'm trying to find the answer in the manual but I cant seem to find it.

I want to add different amount of effect (TFX 1 & 2) to the different parts (A1-4 & D1-4). To my understanding this should be possible, but every time I adjust TFX1-2 CTRL (even though Part MFX switch is NOT lit for specific parts) I get the TFX 1-2 effect ALL over the sound...

Have I missunderstood the setup? Is it not possible to have some parts without TFX 1-2?

Thanks

I've investigated further and it looks like the only on/off-able effect for each part is the "MFX" effect/doubleeffect. But all editing of MFX is done via the cumbersome menues.

If any1 has managed to turn off TFX for separate parts, please post.

I even tried connecting both L/R main outs AND the analog output to my soundcard, but the analog parts then showed up on both "sound streams" (ie L/R AND Analog Out). Can that be routed through menues so that Analog parts ONLY go to "Analog Output"?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the TFX's are like send effects. I think they affect the entire sound of JD-XA and can't be isolated to an individual part. The MFX's are your best bet for part-specific effects.

Yepp. Continued investigating. MFX are the only fully independent part effects. Sad everything related to mfx is burried in menudiving :(
