TR-8 kick and snare - panning?

Hi guys

I'm using the TR-8 with MX-1 and Ableton Live 9.5 - I'm using the TR-8 through USB 1 and MX-1 is in external mode, syncing Live

I'm using the Max 4 Live device here for the TR-8 http://www.maxforlive.com/library/devic ... and-remote

I have an unusual issue in that the kick seems to be panned hard left and the snare hard right - everything else seems to be bang in the middle - when I look at the channel for the TR-8 with the drum rack remote on it, there is a big difference in the left and right stereo field, the left is in the red due to the kick. To get around this I've put a utility on the TR-8 channel and taken the width down to 0% - which works however, I'd like to pan the various parts of the kit out, but this stops that

anyone seen this? or any other methods you use to get the TR-8 into Live?

Maybe you accidentally adjusted the pan. Have you checked the settings?
