MX-1 digital connection is not stereo?

Post by Spazoo »

It seems that any stereo signal i send to the MX-1 digital coax connection gets converted to mono.

I'm wondering if this is a known issue. I'm using firmware 1.02.

according to the mx1 owner manual in the section various settings, theres a channel link option u should pay attention to. hope that helps.

edit:
oops, i did overread you are using the digital input, seems like there's no setting for that :/

I have the same problem using Lindy AD converter. I tried to check it on another device - stereo works, but MX-1 is geting signal only from left channel.

I'm also getting the left channel only. I called Roland Tech Support today and they were unable to reproduce the problem, however they were running an early version of the firmware.

What version of the firmware are you running?

I spoke again with Roland Tech Support and they confirm that the 1.02 firmware update has a problem. The digital input is mono. They didn't have an ETA for a fix but they are investigating the problem.
