using FA06 to update VSR880

Since the FA06 has a sequencer, can I use it to update my VSR880 recorder? I want to play all 16 midi files via MIDI into the VSR.

Fa uses midi out for all tracks, and exports in SMF format, why not then ? ^^

Roland just told me to avoid it. Something to do with extra messages being sent in the process.
