DAW connection issue

When I connect my 06 to my DAW (Reaper) I get a low buzz sound from the outputs of the 06. Similar to a grounding issue sound from a bad audio cable. I have tried different USB cables, computer USB ports. If I remove the USB cable from the keyboard or computer it goes away. It does this with my laptop and desktop. I am using it for midi information only as my DAW is assigned to my digital mixer for audio in and out. Has anyone else had this issue?

Not with the FA specifically, but we have this problem with a Moog Little Phatty where I work - we have two workstations exactly the same, and on both of them, if BOTH the USB and the Audio cables are plugged into the Little Phatty, you get hum.

It's fine on USB only, or Audio Only.

I would do this:

Run your FA directly into your computer with the USB cable and record audio from it over the USB cable - so the ONLY connection to your computer is the USB cable. The USB carries both Audio and MIDI over it.

Otherwise, use an Audio/MIDI interface - with a physical MIDI port and send audio and MIDI both into the Interface, and don't mess with the USB cable at all.
