Is there a setting that makes rhythm patterns global (like tempo setting) so that drums won`t be interupted/changed in any way by choosing a different studio set? i ordered my FA06 today, i will have it tomorrow... :) Lets do this!

Nope, I don't think so.

I just recieved my new FA06. I was thinking why not make studio sets for all songs i do. I can make just one studio set and copy it for all the songs and adjust some things for each song seperately. It will be a very time consuming thing but having to write 3 or more strings of midi for every song costs time as well. In this way i need to send only 1 command. The other good thing about this is that i have 16 slots of sounds availeble for future changes if i want to add things in a specific song on a later stage. Not to mention that the right drums and tempo will be integrated in each studio set.

Is it true that a sample bank is saved as part of song files not studio sets? So i need to load a song in order to make samples "availeble" for the studio sets too use? It`s a bit confusing.

So that leaves me with just one question.. If i make all samples availeble for the studio sets (i make a studio sets for all songs i do) is there a way to assign just a few samples to the pads PER studio set? Some songs (studio sets in my case) only need 3 or less samples. It would be great if i can load only a few samples into the pads and save it as part of a studio set.

Thank you guys for all the help!

Again, samples are stored in the song. You cannot save samples with studio sets.

If you have all (up to 64) samples in one song, then select your studio set per title you're playing and use the pads where you have the right samples assigned to. I.e. on title 1 select studio set 1 and play sample pads 1 to 3, next title you and the band are playing select studio set 2 and play pads 4 to 6 and so on.

64 samples with 3 samples per title will give you about 20 titles to play with one SONG loaded.

Btw, loading songs is quick and easy and loading new songs (with instantly new samples) is no problem if you are exceeding 64 samples in total.

have fun,

I know this, what i ment was that the lights on the pads only highlight the samples i want to use in a specific studio set. If i load a song containing all samples for all the studio sets the pads will all be highlighted for me to guess which pads belong to a certain song. I could potentially send another string of midi to load another song and a studioset, but i try to find out if i can avoid this.

This is not possible. Works only per song.
