Hi, new owner of FA 08, everything works fine, but if I put the USB cable inside the port only for midi (not for
Soundcard reason) i get a noticeable hum on the main out, (which are really quiet before) I tried different cables, but get the same result. At the moment of connection the noise floor increases dramatically.
Any Ideas?Thx Joe
NOTICABLE HUM ON USB
Re: NOTICABLE HUM ON USB
Hi Joe ,
I had the same problem , changed USB cable several times but no success.
Then I changed the audio/line cables , with success .
Humming noise in your setup get drive you mad , believe me , I know .
This may be your solution , it was mine .....
Regards Willem

Re: NOTICABLE HUM ON USB
USB instruments have a fantastic ability to reveal ground loop issues in the studio. There are lots of little things that sometimes alleviate the symptoms (better shielded audio and/or USB cables, sometimes even changing CPU settings in BIOS), but the root cause is a ground loop.bellarph wrote:Hi, new owner of FA 08, everything works fine, but if I put the USB cable inside the port only for midi (not for

Unfortunately there is no silver bullet for fixing these things, because everyone's setup is different. Do some searches on "usb ground loop" and "studio ground loop" and you should find some lists of things to try.
