Both the application importing/exporting (will try it this weekend) and the jp-80.com site is great stuff!

Shouldn't this information be available in a sticky subject at the top(like the topic "Roland Support Vids") so new visitors don't miss out on this in the future?

The only way to upload things is through me. That way I control quality. Just email me the files you want to upload, I test them (or have selected others do that if I don't have the kit - XT for example) and then I update the site.

You can use the admin@jp-80.com email address to get to me.
Perfect!

I'll probably send some files tonight. I play in a cover band so it's hardly any innovative groundbreaking sounds. ;-) But it might inspire other people to start sharing their "creations". I do have a lot to learn and one of the best ways is to see other peoples work.

Thanks for doing this! Any chance you will make the app work in iOS?

No, probably not. I have no experience in programming on iOS. But I guess there are programs on iOS that you could use to send the files to the synth with (probably more and better programs compared to the PC-world). The file format is plain old SysEx and it shouldn't matter if the sender is a PC or iOS. There's a free program called "SysEx Librarian" which might be worth looking up. But there might be a problem reading files created on a PC and vice verse.

Here I leave a web link to the Apple platform: is only available for the iPad running the Midi Designer app.

Hi, this is a neat app! Just a couple of questions. Is it possible to rename a studio set that's stored in the unit from the program? I don't see this as an option, and I think it would be a cool feature to have. Also, as a curiosity, what did you use to develop this? I can tell it's .net, but what version, midi library, etc?

Hello,

thanks for this tool, this was really missing. Unfortunately it looses the midi connection pretty fast. At least on two of my PC systems (Windows 7 64 and Linux using wine). Is it possible to get the midi commands you used to interact with the FA?

How did you manage to address the studio sets directly?

Cheers

Hi! I am a proud new FA08 owner and new to this forum. I read with interest regarding the utility program written by epostmiba,

I've created a simple program for importing and exporting Studio Sets and Tones..."

but the link to download it is dead. Can anyone else share their copy?
