Assign start/stop recording to control pedal 1

I don´t want to press the start recording button with my finger. How can I assign start and also stop recording to e.g. control pedal 1?

Don't believe that's possible - you can select START/STOP in the System pedal parameters but that is only for the current sequence (ie to start playing or stop playing a song).

why not start recording with one or two count-in measures ?

yeah, looks like you´re right. I´ve got the RC300 loop station and there I can do it but this possibility is already set up in the operating system.

I do this already but I´d prefer to start by foot when I´m ready with my fingers. But maybe it´s just a matter of habits.
