XP-50 Midi sync quantize issue

Hello,

I'm having some trouble syncing a Boss Dr-5 to the XP-50. Actually it seems to be a quantize problem. I can get all the instruments recorded from the Dr-5 to XP-50 no problem, but when I try and transfer drums from the drum machine, it mostly plays back skippy or off beat.

I usually keep the quantize set to "grid" 100%. I've messed around with a few other modes but it seems to quantize the entire song so everything starts sounding off. So my question is, how do I set the drum track to quantize so it doesn't sound so off beat? What am I doing wrong here? lol
