Drum Machine Advice

I am looking for a drum machine to go with my sh-201, ideally it will have a tactile step sequencer, midi, replicate 808 sounds, software editor, and easy integration with cubase sx3. I have had an mc 909 before and I didnt really enjoy using it, the sounds were not very good (my opinion) and it seemed to take an age to do the simplest of tasks compared to a computer.
p.s. Also if you have any standard compression and E.q. settings for 808 beats (I am trying to make old detroit techno/electro). I use cubase sx3's own compressor and e.q. any good? any recommendations on which type are best.
My budget is quite good.
