monitor suggestion
last night, after a very quick impulsive decision, i sold my triton extreme 61. good riddance. after two years of using the triton, i really really wish i had got a fantom. tritons sound like crap and the effects are just horrible. worst workstation ever. anyway, i got a pair of Event ASP6's. they sound sooooo good and they look badass. if anyone has been thinking about getting new monitors, i highly recommend them. amazing sound and fairly inexpensive. they list for $1200, but i got mine for $918 with tax.

Hmmm, it's about time to upgrade- I've been looking at mackies and adams... I'll have to check these out. I'm Looking for a way to cut my sub woofer out of the equation and get down to 39hz with a stereo monitor setup.

the bass response is simply amazing. i know i'm not gonna need a sub. i can hear all sorts of weird things going on in my older mixes. these are the first speakers that i have ever had "speak" to me. i've worked on HR-824's, it's been a while and i don't have them to do an a/b comparison, but i don't remember them sounding anything like this. by the way anti-pulse, the frequency respone is 40hz-20khz. bi-amped with 200watts for the lows and 80watts for the highs. super tight, full, punchy sound. you really have to hear em yourself. i'm starting to sound like a salesman.
