How do these two stack up against one another.

My impression is that protools of mega expensive and that the pro's all use it. Am i right?

I can't find a price for protools anywhere, can anyone let me know?

As to Pro Tools, virtually all of the online retailers sell various systems, I can't imagine that you cannot find the prices (about $500 to $2,700 for an LE system). Personally I don't think it is any better than other solutions unless you are going to get a HD system, which are about $8,000 to $14,000 just for the core system.

Keep in mind that when you say 'its what all the pros use', you are not talking about the Mbox or the Digi002. You cannot compare a $2,000 LE system to an HD system, its like comparing a Citation to a Corvette.

Cakewalk Home Studio, SONAR, I'll go ahead and say Cubase and Reason...

Pro Tools is industry standard though, so that would be the logical investment if you are trying to avoid having to recreate your pieces...

Yes, this is not a Protools forum, but there are "Non-Roland gear" and "Free zone" sections here meant for such topics. Just make sure you post into one of these next time.
