Hint, im living in the nearest major city to the Roland headquarters in Hamamatsu, so all the Roland products we can try before anybody. Hint, tebasaki, misokatsu, homemade kazoku, nobody knows, seamo, tokona x.. ok figured it out? (^-^)

i was in tokyo a few years ago but i didnt go anywhere

btw V Synth GT already came few days ago, you tried it? i did. Its sooo COOL! more cool than the nerdy M3 (`-`)?
its much better than original V Synth, though i like the like original V Synth's looks better. but OMG soo expensive! 336,000! sorry im not rich. they told me its only limited numbers in the stores, so i think its more special than original V Synth. but i cant buy it, im poor (>_<)
Korg R3 comes next week, im looking forward to that more than M3.

btw hey do you go to club yellow? MAW was there a few months ago. i wanted to see that but couldnt

sorry off topic

Speedtribe, you must be in Nagoya!
I couldnt be wrong...

Been there a few times as well.
Nice city!
Even been to Nagoya castle.
Damn I love all the Nagoya miso- cuisine repertoire.

Oh you tried V Synth GT already.
Yeah that one is flicking steep...
Me avoid trying, not to get in trouble finding dough and touch all other necessary living expenses. (^^;
I'm more curious about R3 though.

Yeah, going Club Yellow sometimes but these days too busy on job and private, not much clubbing now (T_T)

ping pong! (^O^)/ you win a free VSynth GT! just kiddin

anyway i only like tebasaki. the misokatsu etc is too sweet. btw did you try "morning set" its sushi with bacon and coffee. its also traditional food, yah got wierd food here!

yeah i keep going to the Roland Planet store just to play with V Synth GT all the time, but i wont buy it, just play. all the sales clerks know my face by now! haha! but theyre cool. Its more expensive than Fantom X8. wow! but GT is really incredible, it makes the other synths look like nerdy toys. i think its there in Tokyo now, you should try it out.

hey so you came here to dj or something? well im getting off topic..

anyway R3 is coming out on friday and the cost will in 70000 range they said.

I wish I won it for real!

Whaat? sushi with bacon and coffee? Kinda yuck!
But I respect Nagoyans for being real original to come up with new tastes! ha ha.

Nah, I visited there a few times cus I got some freinds and relatives living. Last year I visited to attend my freind's wedding (^-^)

Anyway whatever Roland equipment, it maybe best to check them out at Roland Planet with Roland keyboard expert staff, but when you buying, As you may know, you best finda better deal other shops may be offering...

I bought my brand-new Fantom-X6 Audio Expansion model back in summer 05 (when it just came out) at a shop named BEE shibuya and by thier offer, I only paid 200,000 yen and it came with a card reader, CF (though small memory size), keyboard stand, Roland headphones, dumper pedal, expression pedal, T-shirt....and even RAM expanded to 128 mb.
Holy cow, that totally blew my mind and I grabbed it no question though at that time I was torn between MPC and Triton and I didn't know a heck about Fantom...lol
But soon I found I wasnt wrong. That was the best workstation at that time no doubt. (and it maybe still)

I dont know if there is even better deal anywhere but I still see Fantoms sold a lil higher with only just the unit here and there, so...
I dont know what retail shops you have down in Nagoya but its worth checking yo!

never mind nagoya, i think the best food is in osaka for sure (^-^)

hey that deal's incredible! all that plus ram, pedals and t-shirt too? (@o@) ..WOW!! thats the best deal i ever heard about. the best deal i saw was just free RAM, stand and headphones, but never pedals and shirt! cool! is it the same shirt as they wear in the Roland free dvds? do you wear it?

well i got my fantom x6 with audio trax at Roland Planet for 209,000 and it included free headphone, free stand and srx98. i also didnt know much about fantom or roland at the time, except theyre the TB/TR people. actually i was thinking about Triton Extreme at one point, in fact i was originally a Korg person before, OMG! haha. As for Yamaha, i always have bad experiences with their snooty clerks in Yamaha store, they treat me coldly when they find out im not a yamaha person. Sheesh! what up with dat? Oh well Yamaha is elitist, everyone in japan knows that, right? (^.^; hehe

Anyway my favorite store is probably Creators Land, because you can play with all the new and old gear and they have intersting stuff all the time. Theyre in Tokyo too. I get all my free dvds at Roland Planet and the staff is very knowledgable and usually friendly. Ishibashi is probably the most unfriendly, maybe because they got small salaries (^.^; Anyway, we are talking many things off topic from M3.. Sorry to the guys who started this thread.

About M3, next week the music store is having a free M3 hands-on workshop and store clerks are inviting anybody. i havent decided to go or not since i dont want M3. i want V Synth GT!! (^o^)/ but anyway everone will be given their own M3 to practice on while the Korg instructor teaches about it. I dont want to buy M3, but maybe i can take advantage of Korgs public relations campaign and have fun with Karma function for the day. haha

Sorry I don't remember about the T-shirt...
Seems gone. Maybe I gave it to my bro or somthin (^^;

With SRX-98! Hey, your deal is nice too.
I didnt know Roland Planet got such deal. Funny though, here in Tokyo, Roland Planet is located in the "unfrendly" Ishibashi.

I go to Ishibashi, Ikebe, Music Land Key, Rock On, and BEE in Shibuya.
But I tend to hit record stores in Shibuya, as there are plenty...
So always end up just checking around record shops and no going music equipment stores...0rz
You mean Creators Land? Im gon check it out(^-^)

yeah really :D they will have 20 M3s for us to wipe. all white rubbery plastic surface = get dirty easily. store's M3 is now beige. korg should hire better aesthetic designers to make their synths more pleasing to the eye, and use dust protected materials for body. and wood on the side too, its pointless. nostalgia for 70s? it has no result except contribute to deforestation. most new musicians today have no nostalgia for 70s since they were not born then. korg M3 seems was made by and for older people.

riddimski
yeah srx98 is great. small selection, but many useful and great sounds. you got it too right? you are more on the DJ side right, so more record buying than music instrument buying? dj gear is more expensive compared to music instruments, isnt it? i was thinking to try returning to dj but maybe not since money is a problem (>_<) yeah go to creators land/sofmap, lots of interesting retro gear in there. and real cheap too. and their sales clerks leave you alone to play with any of the new or used gear as long as you want. but when you need a sales clerk, you cant find them (^^; btw here i go to roland planet in shimamura, very friendly staff. ishibashi has no roland planet here. and sometimes i go even to namba and umeda, to key, creators, mikki gakki, ishibashi etc for the best selection in west japan.

Maybe M3s are statickey?

DJ equipments are expensive? Dont think so, depends. There are many shops selling used stuff as well. Oh, and if you go software route, should be much cheaper i think.
Creators Land sounds real good (^^)
Id rather play alone dont get bothered by clerks, though in trouble when I need them.
I found they are at Akiba here.Gotta visit there.

I know Namba and Umeda are Osaka. But I been to Osaka only once in my whole life. Forgot the place names I been, but I loved Takoyaki there, he he.
And saw Kuidaore doll.

i only looked at brand new dj gear, wow, the prices shocked me! turntable for 100000! (@_@) yeah software dj is a cheaper idea, but i dont have a big feeling for it. when i started dj before i was pure analog and low cost. then i stopped a long time and changed to trackmake. so my memory is just analog. those digital and software dj are a new experience. so wondering. anyway i gotta think about it some more (`-`)? maybe i will check the used dj places for lower costs.

oh thats dotonbori and shinsaibashi. yah many tourists take their picture with that funny doll, and glico too (^o^) did you go to amemura too? how's the ramen compared to tokyo's taste? yah i go there alot. i know osaka and kansai very well. but i dont know tokyo and kanto well.

maybe better talk somewhere else, its not M3 anymore (^^;

I just got the chance to see the Korg M3 61 for the first time today it has a smaller foot print than the Triton Exteme 61 with almost the same sounding piano with many of the sounds almost the same as the Triton Extreme. It has a different feel not better or worse than the triton just different. It looks nice but the module feels rubbery maybe it is just new but it feels like you can scratch the paint off with your finger nails the panels are like shiny Acrylic White. Overall I like it but will not sell my fantom to buy it but rather I might buy it to compliment my fantom.
