Yo Pianodick and Artemiy

Post by Bruiser »

Been awhile since I've been here. Glad to see things are still pumping.

Now that the weather is getting nasty, my fishing excursions are becoming fewer so I am finding time to play again. I've been trying to learn to play the guitar, with the ultimate goal of mixing that in with stuff from the Fantom and my V-drums. I certainly do not expect greatness, but hopefully the results will not be too painful for the ears...

I trust that all is well with the both of you. With the economies of the world pretty much tanking, and the politics going down with it, we could all use the diversion of music.

Am looking forward to hearing from you guys.

I am glad to be here. This place is looking polished and professional. Guess I would expect nothing less from you.

I've been working on a song today, but as has been my problem for quite some time, I get stuck after the intro. Guess I need some further inspiration. Any ideas?

I trust that the world has been treating you and your family well?

By "run", I assume you mean the fishing. I got a boat last year and have been chasing the elusive salmon ever since. I've been doing better than most this year, but it's still not great. Biggest one we caught was 20 pounds. Lots of 6-10 ponders. There is nothing like a fresh salmon cooked on a BBQ. It's like candy! I brush my teeth with the leftovers the next morning.

The most interesting story I've got is the time I hooked a salmon and was giving it a good battle with my rod and reel. All of a sudden, the line went burning off my reel like the scene from jaws. I didn't know what the heck I had on, but a little while later a Seal popped up about 100 yards out with my fish in his mouth (and my hook and line still engaged). We tried chasing the seal down with the boat, but every time we got within 20 yards of it, it would dive again and the battle would start all over. After about a half hour of this insanity, the fish was so mangled by the Seal that I broke the line.

If you are ever in Seattle, look me up. I'll take you out fishing. Can't guarantee you anything, but I can think of a lot worse ways to waste time...

It's nice to be back. Now, if I can only make it through my song...

Bruiser, all's been pretty well out here, thank you very much! I am also very pleased to hear you still like this place, and hope you'll be hanging around like in the old times (oh... nostalgia!).
