^^ Officials tried to pull that crap in a couple of U.S. states and were summarily slapped down by our Supreme Court.

Such notions such as "freedom of speech" vary widely depending upon culture. Simply protecting the right of someone to use foul or crude language is not an especially fabulous expression of such a right, IMHO. You can get away with saying things in the U.S.A. that would get you imprisoned just about everywhere else in the world ... especially when criticizing the government or other poliltical expressions. The only censorship of any note is strictly of public airwaves, and even that is minimal. There are so many other media options available that complaining you can't say "fuck" on ABC, NBC or CBS is a bit silly ... those words and worse are on HBO, CineMax and other cable/satellite channels, XM Radio, all sorts of print publications, etc. ... it's not like the government is actually preventing anyone from saying anything they like. I think that amounts to freedom of speech.

I should be clear that I mean no insult to Finland or any of its citizens. It's a perfectly great place to live, has very beautiful women, a well educated population and is generally more "free" than most of Western Europe ... nuttin' wrong with any of that.

Perspective is sometimes needed, however.

Yeah I remember that one. They had it on the news. That's what happens here when someones 'freedom of speech' is tampered with.. it's on the news and tabloids.

But back to the point. Should drunktard people be thrown out of pubs and bars when they misbehave? Yes. Should noisy turds be thrown out of libraries and movie theatres when they misbehave? Yes. Should newbies who misbehave on forums after being warned a few times nicely be thrown out? Hell Yes! Hail Art!

It's true that in many countries you get your tongue cut out literally, when you try to exercise some free speech, and It should be defended as a human right. That's very important, more important than this discussion here and all unessesary energy put into this crap right now.

Yeah. I also have lots of time between clients and rehearsals or when students call in sick. I also take breaks when mixing or writing songs. It is really entertaining to see reality shows like this unfold. Better than TV.
