Re: Donate you cheap bastards

Post by Septimo »

Yeah, this might work..... with cheap bastards. I was going to sometime soon but now that this thread came out it'll have to wait before I do... If I do now y'all would think I'm doing it out of guilt from being a cheap bastard. I'm sure wudsiba meant well but it was a double edged sword. And when or if I do donate, I won't be making a statement in a post saying "I GAVE X$$ to the fund!" It'll be private...

So, I will donate when I feel like it and if not, just as well. But I won't donate cus someone is trying to use a guilt trip on us, it must come from inside me... and I'm sure others feel this way too... the best thing to do in a situation for dontion is for the one who is asking to do the asking and not someone trying to get in good with the organization. That may or may not be wudsibas goal, but it flows in that direction... Maybe some emails with that as the header and the reasons for needing all stated in the message,, for example what will the money go towards what new things will come to the forum because of it. etc. But if someone was messing with my cashflow I'd be pissed and Art seems to be taking it quite well... I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this.... Nothing against anyone but that's what I felt Livepsy was also feeling...

There's a right way and the wrong.

Wow. I just meant its not much to give. It was really posted as a joke. Donate or don't. Art is someone I have never met and in all likely hood never will meet as we live in seperate countries. The "organization" is one man who isn't going to give me a damn thing more than he gives you. Even if he thinks I'm the shht. LIVEPSY, I was trying to say something nice in a joking maner. I realize that doesn't always come off when your reading, but I really don't know how you could mistake my meaning. Septimo... For real? Even if you think I'm an ass, why would you let that effect your involvement with this site? Someone should just lock this. I don't want to bicker, or cause problems for anyone. If I affended ANYONE, I apologize. Wow...

Wudsiba..

I'm not offended nor do I think you're an ass... but now that you put this up, donating is out of the question.. If I donate now I could be labled as what you're labeling the Clan and I don't play that. So now I'll donate in my timming and not in the timming of this guilt trip thread... Guilt trips either work or not, and with me, I fall in the not.

So no offense, but I don't think this was a good idea for all... but it might have worked with some tight, cheap bastards...

Right on LivePsy. Solitary Man, I want to party with you. Septimo, your motives seem strange to me, but it's all good. I believe somehow we can all get along.

Ahh,, there are way stranger things than what your imagination can conjure about my motives... Yes, even Rodney King suggested it, so I think we can get along.... ;-)

I just started messing around with the sample gift, and there's guite a lot here! I use computers as little as possible, so I just transfer everything as WAV files, then build multisamples and drum kits myself. (If anyone can point me to what tutorial would show me how to load this type easily, I'd really appriciate it. Not important though... as I work very cockeyed.) I'll tell you though, there are some great samples here! Thanks Art!

Septimo, glad you cought my reference. Peace homey...

Just to let you all know...

I wasn't even aware about the donation bit here.

I'll admit that when I signed up to be able to post, I just breezed through the process and, as I usually do, assumed that it was all the same verbiage as every other site. You know what happens when you assume...

Now that it was brought to my attention, I have made a donation and look forward to trying out the patches on my Juno-G!

I've only been here a short time, but I have found immense help contained within, so donating seemed quite appropriate.
