USB audio too quiet
USB audio too quiet
When I connect my SH-01 to Logic Pro X via USB and set SH-01 for audio in, the sounds come through but only at half volume. I do have the latest Roland SH-01 midi driver installed and OSX and Logic are bang up to date. Even with the input level what right up, it is still not loud enough. Is there anything I can do other than using audio leads?
Re: USB audio too quiet
Hi,
I just got a Gaia a few weeks ago and had to investigate this issue, but with Logic 9.. I imagine it's the same thing though. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Going in through USB is apparently the best way as you get a cleaner (digital) signal. It is however a bit low, but if you put a compressor on you channel strip and turn the gain up a bit it's fine. Really good actually, as you don't have to worry about changing the volume on your keyboard.
Hope that makes sense.... Hola is it doesn't.

For any interested in this, my reply from Roland stated that it was by design and if you need higher output use GAIN Audio FX in Logic (or similar)
