controlling volume with pedal

I've set the EV-5 pedal to control keyboard volume (menu/system/kbd-pedal/ select cc07), but the result is that putting the pedal through its range has only have a minor effect on the volume level. I was hoping to get a much wider volume range using the pedal. Am I missing something?

Maybe a Silly question... Did you adjust the pedal knob for MIN and MAX values first ?

Same happens here with fvh-500
I think they've gone quite wrong with control pedal. I solved every problem I had after migrating from my previous keyb working hardly around, this lasts.

I think control pedal assignement it's really hard to control and set correctely. I mean you've got matrix control for each patch, that could even be ok, you have the same problem of LeeRoi, you would set your control pedal signal on cutoff in matrix for example, ok, but you'll never raise cutoff from -63 to +63... here this doesn't happen.

Now there's even another problem in performance mode. You may set control pedal in your specific matrix patch, great you must create a user patch for each patch you want to control in the way you want... quite annoying, ok. Now the real problem, try controlling MFX parameters with pedal at the same time, here this is not working. I can't control MFX parameter. This doesn't happens ever, so I'm trying to figure out, if this is a bug or what.

Excuse my English....

I'm not sure if this addresses your problem with setting effects for Performances, but take a look at this thread:
