requiremente for upgrading to OS 2.0 plz

Hi , can someone tell me please if the mobo needs to be replaced or not before installing the new OS 2.0 ?
Will OS 2.0 work with the previous motherboards since OS version 1.00 ??
Any comments please!?

Just buy the kit and have the installation done - no other requirement for an X6/7/8 to upgrade it AFAIK

thanks a lot Magus ! thats what i think too but some people told me i need to replace mobo too ...so ... i need more opinions to know for sure what to do !

The mobo replacement thing should affects another area - patch
change too slow and occasional pitch noise between
changing from some patch to another, due to a slowness
in the bugged motherboard - don't know if that mess up
with the audio track expansion and os 2.0, but i think it
should not.
Btw, if you know to have a bugged mobo and you're still
under warranty, then contact roland assistance, they
would replace it for free.

There is no need to replace your mobo prior to upgrading to OS 2.0. The reasons for the mobo replacement are unrelated to any OS upgrade. Essentially, the mobo issues were hardware based.

You should be able to install the upgrade assuming you have an X6, X7, or X8.

Thanks Magus and Bassman , the Fantoms dont sufer from the delay or noise problem neither , but they have Os 1.0 and 1.1 ,does it make any difference ?

No, os 1.0 1.1 won't make any difference - feel confident
with the upgrade
